We are hiring a Director of Demand Generation to drive growth for DefectDojo’s category-leading Application Security Posture Management platform.
DefectDojo is the open-source pioneer of DevSecOps, Unified Vulnerability Management, and ASPM. DefectDojo eliminates the repetitive and mundane tasks security professionals hate doing. Further, DefectDojo is the platform and product that enables scalable security through DevSecOps. DefectDojo integrates with 180+ security tools and counting. We have a vibrant and active open source community. We also have a Pro Edition for those who are looking to achieve security automation and actionable insights with the smallest lift possible.
Reporting to the CMO, the Director of Demand Generation will develop and execute a strategic plan for integrated marketing campaigns to increase volume of high intent leads, deals creation, marketing pipeline and inbound ARR through a multi-channel marketing mix.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in B2B marketing (start-up experience preferred), with a strong background in customer acquisition strategies, pipeline growth, and analytics and reporting. You will know how to develop, execute, and optimize creative marketing programs to achieve results. This role requires strong people and collaboration skills to build relationships with internal and external business stakeholders.
What you will do:
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop, implement, and optimize comprehensive marketing plans, strategies and deliverables that create demand and pipeline
- Drive customer acquisition, cross-sell, and up-sell efforts to meet expected lead targets through a keen understanding of the most relevant and engaging content needed during the stages of a B2B sales cycle
- Develop playbooks, and programs utilizing a multi-channel marketing mix (events, social media, paid ads, partner/sales enablement, email, direct mail, etc)
- Plan, execute, and oversee performance on digital marketing campaigns across channels such as paid advertising (e.g., Google Ads, social media ads), email marketing, content marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), and more.
- Analyze customer data, market trends, and campaign performance metrics; track key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide regular reports evaluating the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
- Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Continuously optimize landing pages, website content, and conversion paths to maximize lead conversion rates.
- Deliver reporting and metrics on activity results, campaign effectiveness, and ROI. Use data to make real-time adjustments and proactively identify trends and opportunities
- Manage campaigns end-to-end including timelines, resources, processes and technologies
Your background:
- Experience managing demand generation, customer acquisition, and content syndication strategies for technology companies. Bring a creative approach to the role.
- Hands-on knowledge of best practices in B2B marketing and a proven track-record of delivering qualified leads and successful results
- Experience in developing and implementing integrated marketing campaigns, including live and virtual events, paid media, and various demand gen campaigns
- Passion for results, measurement and optimization to continuously drive ROI. Strong analytical skills with ability to drive meaningful actions from data
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- A self-motivated individual; a good team player; someone who takes accountability and ownership of his/her own work
- Start-up experience or demonstrated experience in establishing a demand generation program
- Familiarity with the sales/marketing tech stack including HubSpot, 6sense, Outreach, and Google tools preferred
